Each day is new, kind of like a fresh spring
morning. We wake up tired and feeling wilted, but the sun will continue to shine
and we will be given the opportunity to be one of those beautiful flowers in
God’s Garden that blooms magnificently.
As women, we each have these types of mornings, I
know I do. The alarm begins ringing and it is time to uproot from our comfy beds
to begin another day; sometimes feeling as if our jobs at work and home are
never going to be finished! Many mornings, we feel like lying in bed and
sleeping the mornings, tasks, and our fears of the day away. But, I have asked
myself this, “What good would I be to the Lord if I were to lay here and become
a pile of wilted, withered petals?”
Jesus says
if we drink of His water He promises we will never thirst again. Amen to that,
I say! This is why and how we have the strength to face the day. Each morning
when we awake it is not the sun, but the SON who awakes us! He offers us the
pure water to drink so that we may bloom into the women He has created us to
be. As every flower is unique, so is every woman who God has created to perform
her duty here on this soil. God shines on each of us daily so that we can
radiate His light to others through Him. How beautiful could God’s Garden be if we helped Him to water it daily?
Matthew 6: 28-29 says - 28 And why
take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow;
they toil not, neither do they spin:29 And yet I
say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of
these.
